The ocean is very close by so beach activities at some of Bali's nicest and most secluded beaches are easily accessible. World class surfbreaks are within walking distance.
Bingin, a mechanical and consistently hollow left is a quick walk down the cliff, Dreamland, a more beginner friendly and great longboard wave is less that a ten minute walk away. Surf guides and private drivers are available for $50 and $30 usd a day.
Uluwatu, the location of the most internationally well known and respected wave on the island, and a site for enjoying Balinese dance, is only twenty minutes away.
Kuta for shopping and nightlife is thirtyfive minutes drive.
